I'm actually an anthropologist. In graduate school, the most talented people taught me to pay very close attention to what matters most. So I didn't come to photography looking for pretty pictures. I came to photography looking for ways to hold onto the most vital relationships in our lives. I was looking for ways to keep what we hold most dear.
Clients who've become family have been so kind and told me that my photos are emotional and like fresh laundry. I think that's because when we share the same air and make these photos together something magical happens. We don't make images of what you look like... we make images of how you feel. We capture the sound of your childrens’ laugh and strength of your love. We find the ways to light up your heart every time you look back at these days together. And every time you look back at these photos with your kids.
